Gameplay
I played through levels 1 to 30, so the gameplay description is limited to those levels level 1 is a very simple tutorial with only 3 plates and the spawn line on the middle on nothing, burguer, burguer nothing, nothing burguer - spawn: fries nothing, fries, fries level two has 2 rows of 3 plate areas, 6 in total. also very simple and the idea is to introduce one power-up that is the paper bag that clears one group of food. Not sure we need this for the first version row 01 orange, orange, nothing - spawn: apple, apple, nothing orange, watermelon, nothing - spawn: blue soda can, blue soda can, nothing watermelon, watermelon, nothing - spawn: sandwich, sandwhich, nothing row 02 lemon, lemon, nothing - spawn: nothing, nothing, apple lemon, grapes, nothing - spawn: nothing, nothing, blue soda can grapes, grapes, nothing - spawn: nothing, nothing, sandwich and a simple tutorial to move the burger to the left plate, the middle plate spawns the frieds and then move the fried to the right plate. Level completed. Goal is there but it is almost invisible to the player. All levels from 3 and more had a similar board with, AT LEAST, 3x3 plate areas with 9 plates Each plate has 3 slots for food and a list of "spawns?" on the bottom of the plate which "spawns" if the plate empties (a match with 3 similar food or all foods were moved to other plates) Level 3 for instance starts with the following layout row 01 mango, mango, nothing - spawn: nothing, nothing, milk box mango, banana, nothing - spawn: lettuce, nothing, lettuce banana, banana, nothing - spawn: nothing, blue berry pie slice, nothing row 02 nothing, milk glass bottle, milk glass bottle - spawn: red pepper, nothing, nothing cola, milk glass bottle, nothing - spawn: nothing, milk box, milk box cola, cola, nothing - spawn: nothing, pizza slice, pizza slce row 03 eggplant, eggplant, nothing - spawn: lettuce, nothing, nothing onion, eggplant, nothing - spawn: nothing, nothing, corn nothing, onion, onion - spawn: nothing, red pepper, red pepper note that there are elements, like the corn, that are not matchable at first glance. BUT, the spawn list on the bottom of the plates can be refreshed once it spawns with more food. for instance, the 3rd place on row 1. Once I move a banana there and the match is completed, the plate clears out, the blue berry slice spawns on the plate and a new list with nothing, corn, corn appears on the spawn area. the level goal is basically complete all the matches until all plates are completely empty. the player does this by dragging one food from one plate to another that has an empty slot. or tapping the food and then the plate. It cannot move a food to an already full plate (like swapping a food or something). Player must first clear a slot. The player can move all the food in on plate and make the plate empty. If there is a spawn line for that plate, it will spawn. If not it will only stay there empty. Player can use it to move other food. Level 4 has 10 plate areas. the 3x3 as in level 3 and then a 10th plate area in the middle of a fourth row. Other than that, it is pretty similar to level 3 with the goal to complete all matches until all plates are cleared. In both levels, the goal is indicated by the number of food to "deliver" - in level four it says 45. so it start 0/45. Once the first plate is fully matched, it clears and the goal is now 3/45. And then it goes until 45/45. Something worth notice is that there is a "clean" area in the top of the level above the first row of plates. This is where the fully matched plate appears when it is complete. In later levels, it will show specific goals like a client asking for a specific food the player needs to match. On Level 4 already, at some point (in my gameplay around 40s in the level) an old lady appears on that area and asks for lemon and lemon (a green) pie slice - and a 1m30s timer also appears. Very similarly, in level 5, a young lady appears and asks for bread and eggplant. A 1m30s timer also appears. Other than that, they are pretty similar level 3. Level 6 introduces the moving plates which are on a fourth row with 5 plates from where i could count. These plates are just like any other (they have the spawn line, food can be moved in and out of them, etc...). The only difference is that they are "rotating" horizontally on the bottom row. So you can only see 3 of them at a time and the left most one disappears and then appears on the right side a few moments later. Level 6 and 6 both have these moving plates and they have "empty spots" in the first 3 rows. Level 6 has 3 plates, 2 plates and 3 plates and the fixed plates rows while Level 7 has 3 plates, 2 plates, 2 plates. In level 6, 2nd row has an empty spot in the middle. In level 7, rows 2 and 3 have both plates together and centered with spaces in the sides. Level 8 introduces the first "obstacle". Which is the cloches. They sit on top of one of the plates (in this case the 3rd - right most - plate in the first row) and they break after some foods are matched. In this level specifically it takes 3 matches to break. Both the sliding plates and the cloches are some gameplay variations that makes the game very interesting. For the first version i will map only these two for proof of concept. We will get back to some additional later depending on the hwo the game goes.
