Kitty Keep-Up
Kitty Keep-Up is an expressive cat sports prototype. Current proposed direction is Cat Basketball, based on Basketball Legends 2020 solo training. Previous juggling builds and both Poki tests remain historical evidence; Basketball implementation readiness is unverified.
Current State
- Focus
- Cat Basketball — Solo Shooting and Replay Baseline
- Validation Question
- Can fresh players understand how to score baskets and voluntarily repeat attempts in the Basketball Legends 2020-inspired solo-training version?
- Setup
- ready
- Primary Reference
- Basketball Legends 2020
- Reference Thesis
- Use the catalog's solo-training subset to test whether a clear hoop target, automatic dribble, assisted shooting and repeated attempts give the expressive cat sports concept more understandable goals and replay appeal.

Active Hypotheses
A readable Foot Bag-style timing and positioning loop, expressed through the cat's whole-body animation, will motivate intentional trick combinations and voluntary retries beyond the initial novelty of the character.
The user accepted animation feasibility and selected California Games Footbag after judging paw-only activities too limited. This supports testing whole-body interaction, but supplies no gameplay retention evidence. Keep Cat Ball distinct from prior cat-care puzzle experiments.
A clear hoop target and assisted repeatable shots may make the cat sports loop easier to understand and more replayable than the previous juggling version.

draft
Can fresh players understand how to score baskets and voluntarily repeat attempts in the Basketball Legends 2020-inspired solo-training version?
Separate Basketball experiment under Kitty Keep-Up; preserve both previous juggling Poki tests and experiment. Candidate for at least one original Player Fit submission during October 12–18, alongside Fruits Inc; not selected yet. Implementation and playable readiness remain unverified.
- Expected Result
- Fresh-player observations establish whether the scoring goal and controls are understood and whether players repeat attempts voluntarily; a new Poki test establishes this version's own baseline.
- Prototype Scope
- Proposed smallest solo-training baseline: expressive cat, one clear hoop target, automatic dribble, assisted shots and quick repeat attempts. Confirm actual repository state and remaining work before finalizing controls, timing rewards or recovery rules.
Non-Goals
- Reassigning old juggling evidence to Basketball
- Opponents, tournament or multiplayer scope
- Assuming reference code inspection proves playable readiness
- Committing this game over Fruits Inc before readiness review
Evidence Capture
- readiness
- Inspect current README and implementation; identify playable scene, exact build and remaining work. · Human checks gameplay, device controls and first successful basket before submission.
- comparison
- Compare directionally with old juggling tests; do not attribute a multi-mechanic redesign's result to one isolated change.
- capture
- Record build and reference lineage. · Observe time to first basket, comprehension, repeated attempts and voluntary replay. · Capture Poki start rate, median/average session and three-minute reach with device/sample context.
- selection
- Review alongside Fruits Inc by readiness, remaining work and capacity.
