Description
Merge Jetpack Zombie is the older lane/action Jetpack Zombie merge game. The player buys and merges drone/support items on a board, assigns them into the Jetpack zombie action area, defeats waves of zombies, saves survivors, earns coins, and continues the merge progression loop.
Project context
This is now tracked separately from Jetpack Zombie Territory because the older lane/action format and the MicroWars territory format behave like separate games. Merge Jetpack Zombie evidence comes from the original Poki entry and August 2026 builds: jetpack-build001.zip, jetpack-build002.zip, and jetpack-build003.zip, plus the merge-jetpack-zombies playtest-recording export. Latest completed Player Fit for the original game is jetpack-build003.zip: 145.3s average session, 63.0s median, 372.2s p90, 22.9% 3-minute reach, 77.1% under-3m sessions, and 73.0% gameplay start rate. Playtest recordings show mixed qualitative evidence: many players understood controls quickly, but boredom was the most common note, so the main product risk is retention depth rather than basic control comprehension. October 12–18: selected existing-build CrazyGames Basic Launch audience test; gameplay iteration paused. Preserve prior Poki history and unresolved hypotheses. Preparation and exact build/comparator identification are recorded in the CrazyGames experiment. Source: 75b7de5a-4dc2-484a-812b-6991580bc3ca
Player Promise
Persona
Poki players who like clear merge progression, fast visible upgrades, light zombie-combat feedback, and simple lane-style action that does not require strategic map reading.
Fantasy
Build an escalating jetpack drone force through merging, push back zombie waves, save survivors, and keep upgrading the board so the next zombie encounter falls faster.
Current validation question
Does the existing Merge Jetpack Zombie gameplay baseline perform better with CrazyGames players than its recorded Poki baseline, enough to justify further investment?
