Description
Breakfast Cooking Time is a discovery-stage Unity cooking/time-management prototype. The active build asks the player to prepare requested recipes at stations while NPC competitors also fulfill orders, moving through entrance, matchmaking, gameplay, tutorial, scoring, and results states. Current engineering work is refactoring the legacy Cooking Challenge client toward MMCore-compliant architecture while preserving gameplay behavior unless a later experiment explicitly changes it.
Project context
BCT is moving from implementation/migration posture into Experiment Setup for a Royal Cooking primary-reference baseline. Keep the current repository/Unity/MMCore migration history as technical context, but the next product experiment should focus on validating a faithful cooking time-management baseline against Royal Cooking. Do not add the Fruits Inc/BCT reskin relationship yet; reassess only after Fruits Inc 3 art is in good shape in Unity. 2026-09-28–2026-10-04: candidate for two Poki Player Fit submissions chosen from BCT, Fruits Inc 3 and Space Shooter after Túlio assesses readiness. Existing implementation state is preserved; selection remains open.
Player Promise
Persona
Poki players who quickly understand accessible time-management and order-fulfillment loops, enjoy short high-pressure cooking sessions, and respond to visible station progress, simple recipes, competition, score feedback, and fast retries.
Fantasy
Run a lively breakfast counter under time pressure, assembling waffles, shakes, cakes, and other quick orders while racing rival cooks to satisfy customers and prove you can keep the kitchen moving.
Current validation question
Can Breakfast Cooking Time validate a faithful Royal Cooking-style baseline for accessible cooking/time-management order fulfillment on Poki before adding speculative mechanics or reskins?
Primary Reference
Reference
Reference thesis
Breakfast Cooking Time should use Royal Cooking as the primary reference for a faithful baseline around accessible cooking/time-management order fulfillment. The first experiment should preserve the reference direction at a high level: clear customer/order demand, readable station/recipe actions, short pressure-driven service rounds, fast feedback, and immediate replay/iteration. Details not yet evidenced in MM-DOS should be verified against the reference before being copied.
Alignment snapshot
BCT already has a compact station-based cooking prototype with recipes, stations, scoring, rounds, tutorials, and results flow. The next setup should focus on a faithful primary-reference baseline rather than speculative mechanics: align the current prototype toward Royal Cooking only where the reference has been directly inspected or already documented, and leave undocumented details as open verification work.
